🗓 The government of Nepal announced a lock down of Kathmandu that will go into effect from tday (April 29) and will remain in place until further notice.
🍱 Currently, the announced restrictions limit the hours for grocery shops, pharmacies, and other emergency services and prohibit most other public and commercial gatherings.
🏥 All our Leo’s Kids and their families have permits to travel from the flats or their apartments to the hospital and pharmacies at any time.
😃 We have stocked up on groceries for at least a week and are also permitted to buy groceries from our local vendor at any time.
🆘 Only emergency vehicles will be permitted to travel. Leo’s Kids who require transportation will be able to call a taxi or hospital ambulance to travel back and forth from Leo’s Kids Flats or their individual apartments to the hospital or pharmacy.
😃 Leo’s Kids outside Kathmandu Valley will not experience the lockdown.
🚌 Our Leo’s Kids graduates, Ikshahang and Biban, who came back for regular check ups, left right before the lockdown so they wouldn’t be stuck here in Kathmandu.
Leo’s Kids at the Flats are planning on watching movies 🍿 , playing video games 🎮 and board games ♟, playing guitar 🎸and carroms, making special dishes, and most of all enjoying time together as they wait for their treatment.
