What Leo’s Foundation Does
Our Plan
The primary goal of Leo’s Foundation is to ease the financial burden of families so that they can give more time and attention to their child diagnosed with cancer. Staying true to our goal, our plan is to honor Leo’s memory by helping as many children suffering from cancer in Nepal as possible during their cancer journey.
To achieve our goals, we lean heavily on fundraisers as our major source of funds. We host and participate in various fundraising programs across the United States. Other sources of our funds are our generous donors who connect to us through social media from around the world and corporate support. While we raise money in the United States and around the world, our volunteers qualify families in Nepal based on their need, by means of our pediatric oncology and social work connections in Nepal. Then we send the funds to our director in Nepal to pay the bills for those families. They can utilize the money in various areas of their life, as listed below, and more.

What We Do
Leo’s Foundation helps families of children suffering from cancer focus more on their child’s care and treatment plan by taking some financial burden off them.
Our foundation contacts different hospitals in Nepal to find families that need financial support for their child’s cancer treatment. We have a set of basic criteria that the family must meet in order to qualify for our help. Our volunteers in Nepal visit the hospitals and meet the families to help us qualify families and understand their needs. We also talk to volunteers, social workers, doctors and health care providers to extend our outreach and connect with families in need.
The children we sponsor we lovingly call Leo’s Kids and we provide apartments called LeosKids Flats where we provide housing for several of the children and their families. This provides local housing for families from far away villages so they can stay near the hospital where their child is being treated at no cost to them.
We are also starting to help sponsor Blood Drives to help increase the blood supply in the area near our Leo’s Kids and to raise awareness of the need for this vital resource.
