Catching up with Dilli Raj

🩺 Yesterday was Dilli Raj’s regular Care Meeting with Sunil. This handsome 17-year-old young man stays in our Leo’s Kids Flats in Bhaktapur with an older brother who goes with him to the hospital for his 5-day treatment cycle this week.
🚶🏻‍♂️This past week Dilli Raj had low blood counts and had no appetite because he wasn’t feeling well. But he exercises every day anyway despite how he feels, walking around and around the Flats to keep up his strength.

🎴 When he’s not sleeping or exercising, he enjoys hanging out with the other Leo’s Kids talking and joking around. When there are enough others around, he likes playing board games.

🚌 He doesn’t visit home much since it takes 2 days to get there and 2 days to return, so he calls them 4 or 5 times a month so he and his brother can talk to their parents and their 6 other siblings back home.

💪 💪🏽We are proud of the hard work Dilli Raj is doing to fight off the cancer in his leg. He’s a strong and determined young man who will do whatever it takes to return to good health.
