Ram Chandra celebrates victory over bone cancer

 Ram Chandra is going home in time for Tihar, one of the biggest festivals in the Nepali calendar. This wonderful young man was our 28th Leo’s Kid when he joined us in January during his battle against bone cancer.

 Now 14-year-old Ram Chandra has completed active treatment and left our Leo’s Kids Flats this morning on his journey home to Jajarkot. He will definitely miss all his friends in the Leo’s Kids Flats as they will miss seeing him, but he plans to be back in 2 months’ time for his first check up during maintenance phase.

 Despite his good medical reports he had been looking really thin for the last month so we asked him what his favorite foods are – mutton and fish – and made sure those were available often for him. He’s looking a lot better and has more energy now.

 We are excited for you, Ram Chandra, as you begin this next phase of your journey. Enjoy Tihar with your family and this special time at home with all your loved ones. We look forward to catching up with you soon!
