We have great news, Team Leo’s Kids! 2-year-old Surbina and her parents received PET scan results and NO cancer was found! They arrived back in Kathmandu recently from a trip to India for the test since the machine in Nepal has been broken for some time.
All three of them couldn’t stop smiling! What a huge relief after finishing active treatment 2 months ago to finally have confirmation that no cancer shows up in her system.
We first introduced baby Surbina to you in early January as our 25th Leo’s Kid being treated for neuroblastoma which had apparently spread to her liver. This tiny girl showed her amazing strength and resilience by battling through surgery and treatment for 10 months to come through the other side the winner!
