A while back, on November 11, we announced Doma Tsering Sherpa in Nepal as the first prize winner of Harald’s Giveaway, winning a beautifully handcrafted khukuri knife. We mentioned that if the winner was either unable or unwilling to receive the prize, we would honor their request in handling the next step. Doma chose to take the nominal cash value of the prize instead of the knife itself.
We had requests from various individuals who wanted to bid for the khukuri, but we wanted to honor each person who originally entered the drawing and consider the significance of the khukuri to those who generously contributed to the giveaway.
So we will conduct a new drawing this Saturday from the original set of names entered in Harald’s Giveaway for a chance to win this remarkable knife.
