Giving The Hope of A Normal Life to Ishwor

Ishwor is a 13 year old boy studying in the 7th grade. He is diagnosed with Non-Metastatic Medulloblastoma. His tumor has spread, and so it is being treated as high risk medulloblastoma.

Hailing from Helambu, Sindhupalchowk in Nepal, Ishwor is the youngest child in his family. He has two older siblings, aged 16 and 19. His mother died when he was 5 years old. His father remarried and so, he now lives with his father, stepmother, siblings and his grandfather, who is his primary caretaker. Ishwor’s father is a farmer by occupation and the only provider of the family. However, being a farmer, his income is seasonal, and the economic condition of the family is weak.

Ishwor is currently being treated at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital. He is under a 1 year treatment plan that includes surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. He completed his surgery and radiation therapy, and is now receiving chemotherapy. The expense of his treatment is extremely costly, with medical expenses adding up to 1,350 Nepali rupees per day. So far, his treatment cost has piled up to 400 thousand Nepali rupees, including surgery, chemotherapy and investigations. Now, we are helping him and his family ease the financial burden.
