We’re overjoyed to share the heartwarming news that our 253rd Leo’s Kid, 13-year-old Riya Kumari Rishidev, has successfully completed her active treatment for cheek cancer and is now entering the maintenance phase! Riya is the 153rd Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!
After 30 days of dedicated care and unwavering strength, Riya is finally heading home. Riya received her treatment at Patan Hospital, Patan Academy of Health Sciences. During these challenging 30 days, Riya and her family stayed at Leo’s Kid P-Flat, which became their home away from home.
Her parents, Kuleshwor Rishidev (a laborer) and Sunita Rishidev (a housewife), have been a pillar of strength, providing immense love and courage throughout Riya’s journey. Their dedication, along with Riya’s incredible resilience, has brought them to this significant milestone.
