Meet our 302nd Leo’s Kid, Anita Jhankri!
We are honored to welcome 16-year-old Anita Jhankri as our 302nd Leo’s Kid! This brave young girl from Gulmi has recently joined our family and is beginning her journey to recovery.
Anita has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She was referred from a local health post to United Mission Hospital Tansen for a treatment, and subsequently referred to B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital (BPKMCH) in Chitwan.
She is currently receiving treatment at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital and is staying comfortably at our C-Flat, a safe and supportive home away from home while she focuses on getting well.
Before her diagnosis, Anita was a dedicated student in Class 11 at Megh ganga Ma. Vi School. Her father, Tika bdr Jhankri, works hard as a farmer, and her mother, Durpeta Jhankri, is a housewife. Despite the challenges she faces, we are committed to supporting Anita and her family every step of the way.
