Biban Karki – 16

Meet our newest Leo’s Kid, Biban Karki, a 9-year-old boy who is interested in riding bicycles and playing with remote controlled robots.

Biban was first diagnosed with a type of blood cancer a year ago when he was in 2nd grade. He, his brother, mom, and dad are from Syangja, Sindhupalchowk, Nepal, and they moved into a flat near Kanti Children’s Hospital to be close to Biban’s treatment.

Biban was first brought to our attention back in March and Harimaya reached out to them to offer our help, but she didn’t hear back from them about accepting help at that time. A couple weeks ago his dad contacted us to see if we could still help them since they need financial help to keep treatment going, help with rent, food, transportation, etc.

We were pleased to let them know we can help provide funding for their living expenses as they are too far away to stay in Leo’s Kids Flats, as well as a monthly allowance toward Biban’s treatment.
