Binod came to us in January of this year as only our 18th Leo’s Kid. He had been in active treatment for a type of leukemia for a year already and in the summer had transitioned to monthly injections for maintenance when his cancer started showing up again.
14-year-old Binod had gone back to his village for Dashain almost 3 weeks ago when he started having a headache and wasn’t feeling well. His dad brought him back to Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu where they found indications that the cancer has spread and they likely need to start active treatment once again.
This horrible disease takes the children it affects through some really tough ups and downs. Would you give some encouragement to this wonderful young man Binod that we will stick with him through these ups and downs?
