Celebrating Kumar Khadka, our 58th Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!

💐Our 76th Leo’s Kid, Kumar, has completed his active treatment for bladder cancer and has moved on to the maintenance phase of his treatment plan.

🎗️Kumar underwent two surgeries and received 45 weeks of active treatment along with 20 days of radiation. Now, at the age of 4, Kumar has returned to his village in Accham and will visit Kathmandu every 2 months for medical checkups. Recently, his eating habits have improved.

💕Kumar is an only child and lived with his parents in the Arlene Miskelly Memorial Flat for 405 days. Kumar’s mother reported that due to the absence of an internet connection in their hometown of Accham, Kumar has significantly reduced his phone usage and now spends his time playing with toys. However, he misses the other Leo’s Kids and often asks his mother to call them on the phone.

🚌Kumar’s mother plans to enroll him in school in a few months, but the schools in their area are far away, and they have no means of transportation.
