Celebrating Megha Lamichhane, our 52nd Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!

✌️ Megha was just 17 months old when she joined us in March this year. Now she and her twin sister are 2 years old and Megha has completed her treatment for a type of kidney cancer. All her medical tests show improvement in Megha’s health, according to her mom.

🍳 Megha is now in the maintenance phase and will be coming to Kathmandu for regular checkups every 3 months. She is eating well these days as she can eat up to 4 eggs per day and drink half a liter of milk. As Megha had symptoms of malnutrition a few months ago, her mom requested daily meat and we were happy to provide her with that.

🏡 Since the time she first came to us as our 84th newest Leo’s Kid, Megha stayed with her mom, dad, and her twin sister in our Leo’s Kids K-Flats for 242 days. Megha’s mom is really happy and is excited to go home to Lamjung. Megha’s mom has decided to stay at home for a while so that she can take good care of Megha and her twin when they return back to their home.

🖍 Megha has a special bond with her twin sister and they spend lots of time playing with each other. If they don’t see each other for a moment, they both start crying. Megha also likes to spend her time scribbling on paper and finding cartoons to watch.
