Our lovely and smiling Nikita has completed her active treatment and is ready to go home!
16-year-old Nikita came to us in August of 2021 as our 54th Leo’s Kid and has completed treatment for a type of blood cancer. Nikita has now begun her maintenance phase.
Our joyful Nikita is from Salyan in the mid-west hills of Nepal. Nikita will visit Kathmandu every month for her checkups and treatment and wanted to know if she could stay with us during her monthly checkup. We were happy to welcome her to stay with us during her medical visits.
Throughout her active treatment Nikita stayed with her mom and dad in a separate apartment in New Baneshwor near Civil Hospital where she was being treated.
Nikita is excited to be reunited with her brother back home with whom she played online games during her treatments. Nikita will not resume with her studies for now until the doctors recommend it.
