We are incredibly happy to share the wonderful news about our brave 10-year-old warrior, Ritesh Basnet! Ritesh has reached a major milestone in his fight against Blood Cancer, officially becoming our 144th Leo’s Kid to Survive Cancer and our 219th Leo’s Kid overall!
Ritesh received his specialized care at Kanti Children’s Hospital. For 236 days, Ritesh and his parents—Ramesh Basnet (a shop worker) and Pabitra Basnet (a housewife)—stayed in the Leo’s Kids K-Flat (Room: NIMB Mega). This supportive home-away-from-home provided them comfort and stability while they were away from their permanent residence in Barahachetra, Sunsari.
Ritesh was officially released from our program as he successfully transitioned into the Maintenance phase of his recovery. We are so inspired by his strength and the dedication his family showed throughout this 7-month journey.
