“I want to be a Cancer Doctor,” says Leo’s Kid Ishwor Jyoti

Sunil met our first Leo’s Kid, Ishwor, face-to-face with Harald Baldr (the morning after their chance meeting in the airport) at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital just over a year ago. Today he has already graduated from active treatment and is going to school, studying hard to fulfill his big dream to be a doctor to help other Kids with cancer.

Ishwor is 15 years old now and is in 6th grade following his graduation from active treatment in September.

Harimaya and Samira from the foundation visited him and his grandfather at his school.

It’s been 1 month since he went back to school. He has made friends and all of his teachers are very supportive of him.

He lives in Kathmandu with his grandfather and loves studying. He wants to pursue his career in the medical field. He says he wants to be a doctor to serve children fighting cancer.

He still has regular check ups every 3 months at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
