We have great news! Last week we received our official letter of approval from the Internal Revenue Service saying the Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation is an approved 501(c)(3) charity. This means we have been approved for tax exempt status for all contributions made since we started on November 6, 2019. We are so thankful to have this first important step behind us! Because of this approval, we now have also been approved for lower PayPal fees of 2.2% + $0.30 per transaction (down from 2.9% + $0.30). Our application for receiving donations on Facebook is still pending, but we hope to have that option available shortly as well.
