❤️ Sushmita’s Journey to Overcome:
A Teen’s Courageous Fight Against Leukemia

👧🏻 Sushmita, a 16-year-old girl from Surkhet, a town in western Nepal, has a loving older brother who lives with their aunt in the same town. Her father works as a driver to support the family.

🎗️In July 2022, Sushmita began experiencing symptoms of fever and headache, and upon being taken to Surkhet Hospital, she was diagnosed with a low blood count and received two blood transfusions.

🏥She was later referred to Civil Hospital in Kathmandu, where she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Sushmita was then referred to Bir Hospital and then to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, where she is continuing her active cancer treatment. She has completed one round of treatment.

🏡 Sushmita and her parents are staying at Leo’s Kid B-Flat. Sushmita was a diligent student in grade 7 at her school.
