Samir’s low blood counts halt his cancer treatment

13-year-old Samir came to us in January during treatment for a type of blood cancer. He joined us as our 74th Leo’s Kid at that time.

For weeks Samir has had low blood counts so his medical team had to stop the cancer treatment. Samir is at the end of his treatment.

Samir has struggled to eat enough which has led to weakness in his body. Samir’s mother takes care of him and we are working with her on the best way to support her, Samir, and their family right now.
