Meet our 338th newest Leo’s Kid, Goma Budha Magar!
We are honored to welcome 18-year-old Goma Budha Magar from Ghorahi as our 338th Leo’s Kid. This brave young woman has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma and is currently receiving treatment at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
Goma and her family are now staying at our B-Flat-Nirju, providing them with a safe and comfortable home away from home while she receives care. She is supported by her father, Ramesh Tharu, who works in labor, and her mother, Rangila Tharu, who is a housewife.
Goma’s medical journey began when she initially experienced knee pain, which after a month led to difficulty walking. She visited Mahendra Hospital, where an medical test was performed and medication was prescribed, but there was no significant improvement after several months. Her doctor then advised an another medical test, which led to a referral to Sushil Koirala Cancer Hospital. After consulting a bone specialist at the Trauma Center and undergoing a multiple medical tests, the family ultimately decided to start and continue her treatment at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
