Meet our 337th newest Leo’s Kid, Reshika Tharu!
We are honored to welcome 6-year-old Reshika Tharu from Bardiya as our 337th Leo’s Kid. This sweet little girl has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is currently receiving treatment at Patan Hospital.
Reshika and her family are now staying at our P-Flat, which provides them with a safe and comfortable home away from home while she receives care. She is supported by her father, Ramesh Tharu, who works in labor, and her mother, Rangila Tharu, who is a housewife.
Reshika’s medical journey began when she experienced mild abdominal pain, leading her family to travel to Nepalgunj for further evaluation. Through blood tests and a CT scan, doctors discovered a mass in her abdomen that required surgery. A result following the operation confirmed the diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She was then referred to Kanti Children’s Hospital, where another medical testing was sent to Mumbai for a final diagnosis, which unfortunately confirmed the cancer. Reshika has now officially started her treatment at Patan Hospital.
