Meet our 322nd Leo’s Kid, Shidhu Kumar Yadav!
We are so happy to welcome 2-year-old Shidhu Kumar Yadav from Samshi Gaupalika-4, Mahottari as our 322nd Leo’s Kid! This brave little boy has been diagnosed with Retinoblastoma (a type of eye cancer) and is currently receiving treatment at Nepal Cancer Hospital.
Shidhu is now staying comfortably at our B-Flat (Sunayana Limbu, Room No. 6), which provides a safe and supportive environment for him and his family during this challenging time. Shidhu’s father, Manoj Kumar Yadav, works in farming, and his mother is Pooja Kumari Yadav.
His journey began when his parents noticed he had a red eye, so they took him to the hospital to get it checked. At first, it was disgnosed as myopia-related blindness, and they were sent to Tilganga Eye Hospital. When the doctors there examined him, they found retinoblastoma in his left eye and advised surgery. He was then referred to Nepal Cancer Hospital to continue his care.
We are deeply inspired by little Shidhu’s strength and are fully committed to supporting him and his family every single step of the way.
